A first for Jillian

All who know Jillian know that she is angelic and doesn't get into much (the house is not baby proofed). Today, she went into her room for a nap as usual. I heard her talking and figured she was in her bed "reading" books. Then I heard feet pattering across the floor in her room. Probably just getting books off her shelf. About 45 minutes into her nap time, I hear her come out into the hallway and run across the upstairs. I call up to her to get back in her bed for nap time. I go up to find her in my bathroom covered with white cream. And when I say covered I mean covered. The only area untouched is her eye area and forehead. I thought she had lathered herself in sunscreen by the looks of it, but the fragrance was not one of Coppertone. As I tried to wipe it off, the texture seemed rather sticky. Then, the familiar scent dawns on me. She has lathered herself from a tube of Desitin. I scolded her as I tried to wash it off. If you've ever used Desitin you know it is fairly waterproof which is what makes it a great diaper cream. Inside I had to laugh at the sight. I learned that I do not need to apply her sunscreen any longer, she is quite capable of doing it herself. Although I would have liked to capture the moment on camera, I did not want to encourage her with the positive attention. Needless to say, Desitin is put away. I do have to figure out how to get it out of the carpet.

Would have loved to see that one! My little Sofie would gladly join in. ;)
