More Corporate Sell Out

This is the worst idea I have ever heard.  Can you say ultimate corporate sell out.  Why stop at roads and bridges?  Why not sell the names of towns (Fredericksburg could change its name to Lowes or Home Depot - which ever corporation bidded higher) and if the price is right we can just rename Virginia to Philip Morris.  But why stop there - if Wal-Mart has enough money we can just sell the State Senate or even the governorship to the corporation (oh - we've already done that).  When will governments realize that the answer to budget shortfalls is reduce the size of government not raise taxes or come up with gimmick fund raisers.
